If you enable "Link to contacts", the app will try to create "View recordings" buttons on contact pages of your Contacts app. Pressing any such button from within the Contacts will open a list of all call recordings available for a particular contact. Not all Contact apps support this, and additional steps such as manual linking of contacts are required sometimes. If you see WhatsApp, Viber or Skype buttons in your contacts, Call Recorder buttons should also appear for those contacts whose call recordings are present.
