Best practices to avoid issues with call recording
Here are the steps you need to take to make Call Recorder work smooth and stable:
- Lock the app in recents. Disable battery optimization, allow auto-start, etc. See information below for your device.
- Make sure other apps don't use microphone during a call (voice assistants, other recorders, navigation apps).
- Keep the in-call button on, or at least the star button. A visible button keeps the app in the foreground for Android, so the system is less likely to stop it.
Samsung
You need to disable optimization for Call Recorder in System Settings > Battery > Detail > Call Recorder

Huawei
Lock Call Recorder in Recents. Add the app to protected list. Grant all permission.

Xiaomi and POCO (MIUI/HyperOS)
Lock Call Recorder in Recents (swipe down and press Lock icon). Set "No restrictions" in app battery saver. Allow auto-start. Grant all permissions.

Disable battery optimization for Call Recorder and allow it to run in the background:

Allow start-up for Call Recorder in Security Center > Privacy permission > Startup manager
